One Dandy Dad

Father's Day started off with cards and gifts, scrambled eggs, and homemade strawberry muffins (that were super healthy and rather heavy -- I thought they were delicious, but, as usual, others didn't enjoy them as much).

After church and quiet time, we took a drive to Shelburne Falls for a stroll on the Bridge of Flowers, a peek at the glacial potholes, and some ice cream at Mo's. Then, we drove west on Rte. 2 along the Deerfield River, looking for some rapids to watch whitewater kayakers. It was Mom's idea, and it was a dud, as all we found were lots of people in inflatable kayaks floating in flat, shallow water and shooting each other with water guns. It was a beautiful day, though, and Dad makes any trip fun. He's special that way.

When we got home, Dad grilled a yummy dinner. He knows that if he wants a special meal, it's best to make it himself. We love you, Dad!
