Don and I celebrated our 20th anniversary yesterday -- hard to believe! We are so fortunate to have found each other. We've had our share of challenges, but those are vastly outnumbered by the joys and blessings, and the laughs we share every day. I can't imagine life with anyone else.

We had dinner on the front porch of The Blue Heron in Sunderland. It was delicious: crostini with ricotta and honey as an appetizer; Mediterranean seafood stew (Don) and lemon parmesan risotto (me) as entrees; and a slice of chocolate truffle torte, with brandied cherries and espresso ice cream, for dessert.

We also marked a new parenting milestone: leaving Sarah home alone for the evening! We couldn't help but reminisce about another anniversary dinner, when we were called home by the babysitter because Sarah was inconsolable. Funny, we didn't hear a peep from her last night. 😄
