Showing Up

As anyone with half a heart can tell you, it's been a long year. I've participated in standouts/protests at home in Massachusetts and also in the Champlain Islands of Vermont, where our cabin is. There were the nationwide ones -- Presidents' Day in February, Hands Off in April, and No Kings Days in June and October -- and the weekly, local ones at the I-91 overpass, the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and the center of our small town.

I also called my senators and congressman at least weekly. It was exhausting, but by the end of the year, there were signs that MAGA support for the administration was weakening. And so I show up.
