Leaving Kindergarten Behind

School ended a week ago, and Sarah is not happy about it.  In fact, the end of school has been harder for her than the beginning was.  She keeps asking me why there has to be a summer break, and she's determined to do away with it.

She grew so much this year.  Her teacher proclaimed her "an exemplary kindergarten student" on her last report card.  She now reads with ease, writes for enjoyment, and treasures her friends.  She's definitely outgrown spending every day at home with Mom and Dad.  It could be a long summer....
