Labor Day weekend is usually fairly quiet for us. This year, however, it was filled with family. Saturday was Nephew Sam's 14th birthday party; my Uncle Bing visited on Sunday; and Monday, Brother George and his wife Chelsey had a backyard cookout.

| I was not close to Uncle Bing (my dad's brother) growing up, but we re-established contact about five years ago, and I'm grateful for that. He lives in Mexico but still has many ties to our little town and tries to get back every summer. |
