When word came that her class would be doing four songs, along with gestures, during the year-end music show, she wasn't happy. She fretted for a few weeks, but then, rather suddenly, decided that she did indeed want to participate. In the ensuing weeks, she practiced the songs every night at bedtime, and soon, she was actually excited about it. She invited Grammy and Heshy (Auntie Heather), along with some of her favorite people from church.
Last Friday afternoon, her class, along with the first and second grades, presented their show at the Grange Hall (where Don and I had our wedding reception nearly 12 years ago). The kindergarten was first, and Sarah marched confidently up onto the stage, taking her position front and center. She then gave it her all and did an outstanding job (in this critic's opinion). As I know all too well, once Sarah puts her mind to something, there is very little that can stop her.
