New Wheels!

Sarah got a new bike last month -- her first brand-new one and her first with gears. Since we live on a steep hill in the country, she hasn't had much opportunity to ride, so she's still kind of a novice.

Our first time out, we started at a local middle school, where she could practice on the bus oval. Then we hit the bike trail, choosing a less-traveled stretch. It wasn't the most relaxing ride of my life, but it was fun to be out with her. Last week, we did the same route, but in the opposite direction, with a stop at the park.

I'm looking forward to a summer of riding with her and watching her gain skill and confidence.
