Primping the Porch

Upon moving into our new home last winter, we discovered many cosmetic issues to be remedied, some larger than others.  One big one was the unpainted front porch.  Maybe it was meant to look that way, but it appeared unfinished to us. 

 

Last week, Don pressure-washed it and spent two full days staining it to match the house trim.  I think it makes the house look worlds better, although the change doesn't jump out at you.  It's like when you get new glasses and people can tell something's different, but they're not sure what.  It looks like it's supposed to now.  And maybe next spring, some new chairs....
